Classic movie remakes
Remakes are inevitable and are almost always nowhere near as good as the original. But sometimes remakes are just too soon and in bad taste. How many Spidermans, Hulks and Batmans do we really need? Just watching the trailer for the new ‘Footloose’ remake makes us want to cringe! And now there has been confirmation that they will be remaking ‘Dirty Dancing’… Really?
Remember when Ed Hardy was trendy? Neither do we. So why are guys still wearing those bedazzled graphic tees? It doesn’t help that the guys from ‘Jersey Shore’ are still sporting the look. Cabs are here!
Bad Reality T.V.
Speaking of ‘Jersey Shore’, we’re down right tired of these reality shows like ‘Teen Mom’ or ‘Real Housewives’. After a while every season seems to be just alike.
‘Twilight,’ ‘True Blood,’ ‘Vampire Dairies,’ etc. – It’s vampire overload! The hype is nowhere near over. There are more movies in the ‘Twilight’ franchise to be released and more vampire themed movies are still being made.
We understand wanting to help your children, but there is a fine line between helping and hovering. Doing all of your child’s homework, picking out their class schedule for college or filling out their job applications are big no-no’s. You don’t want to end up having to hold their hand and walk them to their first day of work, do you?
Oversharing on Facebook/Twitter
It’s bad enough we now can know everyone’s exact location and thought at any given time, but some things are better left not online for the world to see. This includes inappropriate photos to personal medical information. Or our personal favorite: play-by-play of either your “perfect” relationship or nasty breakup.
We get it, you can lie flat across any surface! After the explosion of planking photos on Twitter and Facebook, we’re pretty sure every possible object to be planked has been achieved. Please stop now.
Of all the fashion trends of the year, we’re hoping this one will fall off as quickly as it came to be. We’re not really sure where this trend started or why it even took off the way it has, but a good rule of thumb when it comes to fashion trends: if your middle school-aged daughter is sporting the look, it’s probably time the adults stop.
It seems that every year comes along with a new celebrity catchphrase such as: “You’re fired!”, “That’s hot!” and most recently “Winning!” The over use of the catchphrase and the fact that many celebrities went out of their way to trademark them, just makes us hate them even more.
Why were they ever popular to begin with? They’re not particularly cute and are simply just charm bracelets with a great marketing ploy.
